POP UP EVENTS (November 2017)
See Sister Act With A Live Gospel Choir
The 99yr old St Marylebone Parish Church is one of London’s most beautiful churches, and it is here in November that you can enjoy an ecclesiastical cinematic experience like no other: Sister Act accompanied by a live band and full gospel choir. How many cinemas can offer all that?

Inside Pussy Riot
You’ll want to dig out your balaclava.
Because Pussy Riot are going to take you on a journey. Also, it’s getting colder.
The post-punk experimental protest and art collective are taking over the Saatchi Gallery this winter with a crowd-funded show put together by founder, Nadya Tolokonnikova, and the theatre company behind the Olivier-nominated Alice’s Adventures Underground, Les Enfants Terribles. And it’s going to be a riot…

Cooking with Cocktails
Cooking with cocktails is actually quite common.
Only, the people at the Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings are taking the innovative step of actually putting the cocktails in the food.
THat’s right – you can expect a masterclass put on by the folks from Petit Pois Bistro and Victory Mansion, who’ll first show you how to make perfectly balanced cocktails, then show you how to integrate it into dishes using traditional techniques such as curing and more modern sous vide and vacuum infusion. You’ll get a drink on arrive, three paired courses, and a dram of whiskey to finish, with all of the proceeds going to the Movember Foundation, helping charities focusing on men’s health.
Details: 20th November | Bourne and Hollingsworth Buildings, 42 Northampton Road, EC1R 0HU | £50
Pizza and Prosecco Festival
Get ready to join the upper crust this November, because there’s a Pizza & Prosecco festival in town. You’ll get pizzas from some of the nation’s most illustrious slice-slingers, including Doughboys, Ffwrnes (note: not a typo, it’s Welsh), and The Original Goodfillas. Plus, The Tiny Tipple Van will be tipping up and serving prosecco cocktails – alongside the other 20 varieties of prosecco on offer – for you to sip as you enjoy the dulcet tones of live musicians long into the night.

The Spirit Show
Here’s something that’ll lift your spirits… Your hand. Because it’s going to be the thing carrying your hard-working sample glass around The Spirit Show in Angel at the start of this December.
December? you say, as you quizzically cock your eyebrow. Well, yes, we’ve made a rare exception, and sacrilegiously included a December event in our November Agenda, because it takes place on the 1st & 2nd of next month, and it’ll simply be too late if we wait until then to tell you about it. And considering that there’ll be unlimited tastings of its 300+ globe-spanning craft spirits, plus a Floating Rum Shack, a vodka bar, a tasting stage, and more…
Details: 1st & 2nd December | The Business Design Centre, 52 Upper St, N1 0QH | £20 (10% off Friday tickets for Nudge Readers; just quote NUDGE10 when booking).
Bespoke Gin Making with Half Hitch
It’s a little-known fact that Camden Lock used to be a hub for gin distillery and storage – and an express train used to ship it out daily. And an even littler known fact that the fine Half Hitch Gin micro-distillery now tucked away in the heart of Camden Market is not only reviving the tradition, but inviting you to join in – with an hour’s masterclass and distillation session, where you can make your own gin with literally any ingredients you like.
Details: Throughout November | Unit 53 Camden Lock Place, NW1 8AF | £50
London Never Dies
The one and only London Cabaret Club are presenting their most ambitious show to date: a multi sensory cabaret tribute to James Bond, complete with five live acts in which you will – amongst other things – see somersaulting waiters serving you smoking martinis, eat from oyster bars, smell spice markets, and hear live music in a mind-blowing, no holds barred 4D-sensory experience, including a three or four course menu option…
… also inspired by Bond.
